Flash Tutorial: Making a GameButtons to change colours must ALWAYS be on the same layer with the thing you want it to change the colour of or it will not work
I am using MacromediaFlash8
Explanation:
Code needed after adding keyframes inside of a moiveclip(only used onkeyframes):
stop();
Doing this stops the clip from running like a normal animation
Code for items that need to be draged and droped(only used on movieclips):
on(press) {
startDrag(this);
}
on(release)
{
stopDrag();
Mouse.show();
}
This allows you to move things, use this on the clothing items or accessories.
Code to change colour (only used on buttons):
on (press) {
_root.instantname.gotoAndStop(1);
}
the instant name that you gave to your movie clip will replace "instantname" between root. and .goto
The frame number that the colour you want the button to lead to will go inbetween the ( );
When you have an item that you can drag and drop and change colour
- turn it into a button, then a movie clip
-give movieclip an instant name
-right click the movi

Behind the Scenes of The Forest of Two Trees

Every year or so Titmouse produces a short film that we distribute to different film festivals around the world.  The latest of these films is Otto Tang's "Forest of Two Trees".  While this film is a few years old I just found the behind the scenes short (which Otto tells me he shot on a cell phone".  Its a interesting look at how the film was made and features many of Titmouse's top artists.  Check it out below.

We'd love to submit to Spike and Mike. There's another short in the works now. From what I've heard its lookin really good.
